CHALLENGE: Why was a redesign needed?

This industry is highly competitive, the client wanted a full redesign. The primary goal was to redesign a site that would appeal to the upper class and commercial industries. With the industry's supply chain issues, demand is extremely high. The client wanted to align himself with that demand. We worked closely with the team and vendors for the website redesign. The client wanted the website to visually tell a story about their company.

Project Goals

How might we create a brand that aligns with a new level of clientele

Objective 1

It's been said that pictures tell a thousand words. The client wanted the website to tell a visual story of their work.

With the recent supply chain issues, demand is extremely high. The client wants to provide superior quality products.

Most users are using mobile devices to browse the web. The client wanted an easily optimized mobile platform.

COMPETITOR ANALYSIS

01. Stone Crafters Inc.

Specializing in kitchen, bath, and countertop design. Stone Crafters are an installer and fabricator selling wholesale to the public. They are a full-service store with experienced design staff, focused on outstanding customer service.

Content Audit

I approached this project with the client by first eliminating the unnecessary elements, features, verbiage, and photos. The client picked images in different categories to make the redesigned website more photo-driven and tell a visual story of their work. The client wanted the users to find the information quickly in a visually appealing manner.

Research

I conducted interviews and ran usability tests of the current site with 4 of Coastal Granite's vendors. Here’s what they had to say:

As per my Research. I used this color scheme to stay consistent with the company's already established business brand.
